Brighton Academy Manager & 

Head of Football Operations  

Amelia has been coaching with us since February 2019 and works full-time for Brighton Galaxy Girls.

Amelia is a fantastic role model for any girl who plays football, boasting a playing career which started at Brighton & Hove Albion  before going on to play for Charlton Athletic in WSL2. 

Amelia also has the impressive honour of being a full International, playing for Wales from U16 through to the Senior Women's squad. 

Amelia holds a degree in Football Coaching & Performance from Chichester University where she also gained her FA Level 2 qualificatuon. Amelia is FA Emergency Aid trained and fully DBS checked and is working towards her UEFA B Licence. 

Hove Academy Manager & 

Head of Coach Development  

Mark has over 40 years experience in youth football having worked previously abroad and in this country for many years. 

Mark is a qualified UEFA B, FA Youth Award and FA Football Psychology level 1 coach.

Mark worked for The FA as a Coach Mentor between 2015-2020 working with grassroots clubs in Sussex mentoring coaches and encouraging coach development programmes for volunteer coaches.

He is joint Life President of Brighton and Hove District Schools FA having served eight years as Chairman.

Schools Provision Manager 

Finn is a UEFA C Licence coach and has been working with Galaxy since 2020.

He offers a broad-range of experience both on and off the pitch and alongside developing our newly-formed Schools Provision Team, Finn is a Film Studies Lecturer at Birkbeck University, an area he holds a PhD in.

Finn is passionate about developing young people and establishing environments for them to thrive in and he impresses these beliefs into all the schools he visits.

Finn has previously played semi-professional football in Scotland and currently plays non-league football in Sussex for Steyning Town FC.

Performance Manager

Carl started coaching with Galaxy at Brighton Saturday Soccer in 2022 and has since supported the Brighton Development Centre, Performance Centre and now leads the Montpelier Villa Galaxy JPL team training on Thursday evenings. 

Carl manages the MVG U!3 & Withdean Galaxy U13 teams, leading to the treble in their first competitive season.

Carl has over 20 years playing experience within non-league men's football and is working towards his UEFA B Licence.

Schools Provision Lead &

Brighton Academy Lead 

Izzy has been coaching with Galaxy since 2021 and has risen through the ranks impressively in a short space of time.

Starting as a Junior Coach age 16, Izzy's professionalism and dedication has seen her step into the Schools Provision Team as Lead Coach this year, showcasing her passion and expertise when working in various schools across Brighton & Hove. 

Working towards her UEFA C Licence, Izzy is one to watch for the future.

Hove Academy Lead  

Liam has been coaching for over 10 years now alongside his PE Specialist role at Goldstone Primary - a place he's inspired many girls over the years to find their love for football, as well as leading teams to National Cup success in 2023.

He holds the FA Level 2 certificate and played an integral role in setting up our Hove Galaxy Girls Centre on Mondays and Saturdays, where he continues to successfully lead the Hove side with Mark.

Schools Provision Team &

Senior Saturday Soccer Coach

Beth is a UEFA C Licence Coach and boasts a wealth of experience coaching in schools across Brighton & Hove over the last 10 years. 

You'll find her coaching at Hove Saturday Soccer and leading sessions at after school sessions within our schools provision team.

Beth also plays at Whitehawk FC and is a fantastic role model for many of our players at Galaxy Girls.

Senior Saturday Soccer Coach

Matt comes from a long line of Currier coaches which saw older sisters Holly and Beth lead the way with Galaxy before this fantastic young coach followed in their footsteps.

Matt is working towards his UEFA C Licence and has been spearheading our Hove Saturday Soccer since it's inception in 2022, mainly working with the U13 and U14s but a firm fans favourite of the U8s and U9s too

Schools Provision Team &

Senior Pathway Coach

Mia is an extremely talented goalkeeper boasting spells at Southampton, Charlton Athletic & Tottenham Women in the last 3 years.

She started off as an apprentice coach with us age 17 but has come through the ranks to now lead our GK Academy.

Mia coaches at Hove Saturday Soccer and, whenever she's not training, at our Hove Development Centre on Monday evenings.

Senior Performance Coach

Sam is a UEFA C Licence coach with vast experience of coaching, managing and developing players at the highest level of youth football.

As well as delivering training for our Montpelier Villa Galaxy JPL teams, Sam is also joint manager of the MVG U14s, His 'double-treble' success with the Varndean School girls teams in recent years has also led to Sam becoming Sussex Schools U13 & U14 Girls manager for the last two seasons.

Senior Saturday Soccer Coach 

Shaun has been coaching with us since Summer 2019 and, like Amelia, is studying Football Coaching and Performance at University of Chichester and working towards his FA Level 2 Certificate.He is FA Emergency Aid trained and fully DBS checked and has been coaching for 5 years in total, delivering after school and evening sessions as well as running school holiday sports camps.Shaun's playing career includes playing at Crystal Palace Foundation and he now plays at county level for Mile Oak.
