Our Coaches

Matt has been coaching football for over 16 years. He is currently working towards his UEFA B Licence and also holds the FA GK Level 2 Certificate. 

 Having coached and taught PE at a range of schools across Brighton & Hove, Matt now teaches at Balfour Primary School where he and Briony worked together before setting up Brighton Galaxy in Summer 2018. 

His previous roles include Brighton & Hove Albion Women's 1st team GK Coach and he also currently manages the Brighton Schoolgirls U12 & U16 District teams.

Briony's boasts a fantastic footballing career which includes playing for Brighton & Hove Albion Women whilst she also has the honour of representing England at U19 level. 

Since a serious knee injury ended her playing career, Briony has moved into teaching and after a successful year coaching the girls and boys school football teams to league-winning seasons, she set about earning her FA coaching badges and is currently working towards her FA Level 2 Certificate.

Amelia has been coaching with us since February 2019 and works full-time for Brighton Galaxy Girls.

Amelia is a fantastic role model for any girl who plays football, boasting a playing career which started at Brighton & Hove Albion  before going on to play for Charlton Athletic in WSL2. 

Amelia also has the impressive honour of being a full International, playing for Wales from U16 through to the Senior Women's squad. 

Amelia holds a degree in Football Coaching & Performance from Chichester University where she also gained her FA Level 2 qualificatuon. Amelia is FA Emergency Aid trained and fully DBS checked and is working towards her UEFA B Licence. 

   Kaysha has been working with us since late 2023  and works closely with local schools to help provide more Girls-Only sessions and events within the community. Kaysha is a goalkeeper and has played for Lewes and Crawley Wasps in recent years. She has recently completed her UEFA C License and a degree in Sports Coaching at the University of Brighton. Alongside her Coordinator role, Kaysha has also joined our Academy coaching staff and is heading up our Fixtures department with a view to arranging more fixtures and tournament for our Brighton Galaxy Academy & Development Squads throughout the year.
